Turning UX Shortcomings into Opportunities

A recap of the UX audit I conducted for the Wombat Invest team.

When Wombat Invest asked me to conduct a brief UX audit of their app, my aim was to spot opportunities to improve the user experience while keeping accessibility and usability standards in check. I took a deep dive into key journeys like onboarding and portfolio management, spotting what was working well and where we could make things even better.

Usability and Navigation

Assessed the onboarding process and interactive elements to ensure clarity, ease of use, and effective user feedback.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

Evaluated colour contrast and input field design, recommending updates to meet WCAG standards and enhance accessibility.

Visual Design and Information Hierarchy

Highlighted the need for consistent visual language and clearer content prioritisation to support intuitive navigation.

User Control and Customisation

Proposed enhancements to empower users with personalised content and greater control over their app experience.
